Tree 84 :: houseless treehouse tree ::

8th August 2010
Colliouse, France.

These trees – I think they may be plain trees that have been goaded into growing in this way would make incredible tree houses. This one pictured was the only one I could access – the real beast in the centre of town could accommodate a small 2 bedroom flat. The branches stretch out horizontally for the floor and then bend up at an equal distance at 90 degrees for the walls. The ready made foundations for a house – on a single stilt. And the birds. So many birds – they seem to love those trees.

You know when you imagine the apocalypse and everyone but you and a handful of people are wiped out – maybe just you and one other person(?) A beautiful woman in my case – ready to repopulate the world or not. Bit of a hassle, all those children and responsibility. Well you imagine having a few places to live around the world maybe take Swartzenegger’s house for a laugh or live in Big bens bell

tower, no prob turn off the clock.
You imagine following the seasons in Prince’s tour bus visiting all your new homes. Well, all this stuff has been just abandoned, so … so well … one of these trees would be one of my little get aways, and since there’s no way the local council will give me planning permission to build one now. I’ll just have to hope … ;) Either that or this book or some other project takes off. To be fair though – one home would be quite enough. In a tree. Why not. Or in several – (close together).
